Direct Assistance
Make a gift to the Direct Assistance Fund and help our less fortunate children, neighbors and friends who have special medical needs and limited funds to meet them.
The Direct Assistance Fund is provided by AVMF for people with needs for dental procedures, vision challenges, prescriptions, mental health counseling, and emergency medical services. Every individual goes through pre screening by a referring agency before receiving any assistance.
Last year AVMF granted $48,000 to 390 individuals (mostly children) that were in need of Direct Assistance.
It doesn't take much to make a difference!
- $50 is an average cost of prescription.
- $100 provides glasses for a child for school.
- $150 pays for an emergency dental procedure.
- $300 pays for six counseling sessions.
